Health & Safety Policy

We are dedicated to protecting the health and safety of our attendees at the 2022 CISE Education and Workforce PI & Community Meeting. As such, our policy is to require that all in-person meeting participants, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and must wear masks at indoor events.

All meeting participants must submit their RESPECT + CISE EWF PI Meeting COVID-19 Policy Acknowledgement Form in advance of conference attendance via the Whova Conference App for the 2022 CISE EWF PI Meeting.  The acknowledgement form will open on May 10, 2022 and must be completed in advance of the conference. To make the check-in process go more smoothly, we strongly encourage completing the form at least 2 days prior to the start of the conference.

On-site Health & Safety Protocols

Face Coverings: Masks are required during indoor events.

Social Distancing: Space planning in all meeting rooms will allow for social distancing.

Hygiene: Non-contact hand sanitizer dispensers will be placed throughout the meeting space. 

Cleaning: Prior to every event, hotel staff will follow CDC and local guidelines on the cleaning and disinfecting of all areas. 

Before You Travel

We will continue to closely monitor specific travel advisories through official channels, which include WHO and the CDC, as well as safety guidelines at the local and state levels.

Before traveling to the meeting, we recommend that you stay informed of any information your local health agencies may make available and take reasonable precautions to protect yourself. The meeting organizers will continue to closely monitor this dynamic situation and will provide updates with any developments, and reserve the right to make changes as needed.


Will you honor any vaccine exemptions for medical or religious reasons?

Organizers of the CISE EWF PI & Community Meeting are requiring vaccine attestation for in-person participation. No exemptions will be provided. Those who are unable to provide proof of vaccination are encouraged to participate remotely.

Will you consider a negative COVID-19 test in lieu of proof of vaccination? No, the organizers require attestation of vaccination for in-person participation. Those who are unable to provide attestation of vaccination are encouraged to participate remotely.

Will the staff supporting the meeting also be required to provide attestation of vaccination?

Yes, the organizers require full vaccination of all attendees, exhibitors, volunteers, and staff participating in person.

Will there be a mask requirement? Yes. Masks will be required at the meeting. Masks may be removed for eating and drinking door meals and receptions, which is in line with the local policies and guidelines.

What if I Exhibit COVID-19 Symptoms? If you exhibit COVID-19 symptoms while at the meeting, please remove yourself from any in-person conference activities and follow the CDC guidelines for isolating, testing, and care. If you’re feeling up to it, you can continue to participate remotely in the meeting using the Whova app. 

What if I test Positive for COVID-19 while at the meeting? If you test positive for COVID-19 during the meeting, immediately isolate yourself in your hotel room. Then email the registration team at The meeting organizers will alert the hotel for announcements. Do not participate in person in any other meeting activities.
